EXILE Technologies will be launching the all new Hornet Direct to Mesh system.
The Hornet’s revolutionary technology has been nearly 10 years in development. It removes all the steps in the conventional screen making process by imaging a unique printable emulsion directly onto the screen mesh using a proprietary encapsulation technology.
The Hornet D2M eliminates the need for a screen darkroom and all of the common steps of conventional screen making are bypassed...
No emulsion coating and drying
No film positives or ‘Computer to Screen’ stencil imaging No exposing and developing of the screen
No water waste and drying time
Instead a clean screen is mounted onto the Hornet D2M and the emulsion is jetted onto the mesh as a negative print image. The printable emulsion is ‘UV cured’ on the fly as it is printed and the imaged screen can then be mounted straight onto the screen printing press.
Screen reclaim is also simplified with emulsion removal via a simple high pressure washout.
The Hornet D2M works with all common screen mesh counts and almost all brands of water based, plastisol and reactive inks.
Hornet D2M produces pixel-sharp imaging at 1200,1800 or 2400dpi resolutions. Frame sizes up to 25”x 36” (635mm x 910mm) are supported and the Hornet is compatible with most common screen press registration systems.
Hornet D2M is powered by SCREENMAKER RIP Software for imaging colour separations quickly and easily direct from your chosen graphics application.
